Megan represents and counsels employers throughout the country on a wide range of employment matters. She provides extensive advice to clients on leave and absence management, policy development and review, employee trainings, reductions in force, performance management, discipline and discharge, conducting internal investigations, human resources compliance auditing, and various other areas.
Megan represents clients in single-plaintiff litigation matters related to employment discrimination claims under Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, and similar state discrimination laws, as well as wrongful discharge, retaliation, sexual harassment, and breach of employment contract claims in both state and federal court.
Her strong litigation experience also provides Megan with the unique ability to provide practical, sound business advice, while also helping clients position themselves to defend or avoid litigation altogether. She is also regarded for her vast knowledge in the leave and accommodation space, regularly speaking and publishing on this topic.
Megan is a go-to counselor for many firm clients, and the dedicated counselor for a handful of clients. On a day-to-day basis, she independently advises nationwide employers of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, on various employment matters. Megan had the honor of being selected by a firm client for a four-month secondment, during which she regularly counseled the business’ key stakeholders on US and international employment matters, and reported directly to the client’s general counsel. She has also advised more than 100 clients all around the country on various state and federal employment law matters.
